Here are some tips for caring for Japanese Tang Oh, also known as chrysanthemum greens:
  • Planting: Plant seeds in a rich, moist, well-drained soil. You can sow them directly in the ground or start them indoors. Plant them 0.125 inches deep or at surface level.Space them 3–6 inches apart. 
  • Watering: Water the seeds 2–3 times a day. 
  • Sunlight: Ensure the plants get ample sunlight. 
  • Temperature: Tang Oh grows best in temperatures below 77°F. It can tolerate light frost and low light. 
  • Germination: The seeds should germinate in 7–15 days. 
  • Maturity: The plants should mature in about 30 days. 
  • Harvesting: The plants can reach about 12 inches tall during the leaf phase and about 3 feet tall during flowering. 
  • Storage: Store Tang Oh in a cool, dry, dark place. You can also wrap the bottom of the stalk in a wet paper towel, place the whole leaf in a plastic bag, and refrigerate it standing up. 
  • Uses: You can use Tang Oh in stir-fries, salads, and hot pots.
