Description
[ Organic Potting Soil 40L ]
Green Spade Organic Potting Soil commonly known as compost soil or black soil is a medium that consists of organic premium compost (fine grade), organic matter, and topsoil specially mixed together.
Pre-mixed and ready to use.
Green Spade Organic Potting Soil is suitable for a wide range of plants, vegetables, and herbs. It is rich in nutrients, dense and water retentive. It can be used as a base to customise your own potting mix for all indoor and outdoor containers.
Benefits:
Green Spade Organic premium potting soil has been added with fine-grade compost for higher water retention, air movement as well as water drainage when the organic compost binds up with the soil bits.
How to Use:
- Green Spade Organic potting mix is ready to use and transfer to any pots or planter boxes.
- For plants, vegetables, and herbs that require rich in nutrients soil, you may add Vermicast to a premium potting mix with 1:5 ratios.
- For existing soil, you may add it to your existing depleted soil and for best results, you may add a top mulch of Green Spade Organic Compost or Rich Soil Enhancer every 3 to 4 weeks.
Tips:
For optimal growth, re-pot plants regularly. If your plant is not growing, or you see roots growing from the drainage holes at the bottom (of the pot), it’s time to re-pot to a larger container.    Â
Watering:
Avoid over watering by allowing the soil to dry to the touch between watering. Use a tray or saucer to catch water as it drains from the bottom. Do not allow plants to stand in water. Outdoor container plants can require frequent watering (once per day in hot, dry conditions).
Light:
Some plants thrive in direct sun exposure while others prefer shade. Check plant tag or consult your local garden center to determine preferred exposure.
Feeding:
Frequent watering can easily leach nutrients out from the root zone. Feed plants at least monthly during the growing season with an Espoma Organic Plant Food beginning two weeks after planting.

[ Organic Vermicast 5L ]
Green Spade Organic Vermicast is the end product from the process of composting Earthworms’ humus.
Benefits
Vermicast is rich in humus which continues to break down in the soil and release valuable nutrients over time. The organic matter helps the soil to retain water and give the earth a soft and crumbly texture. The beneficial of microorganisms present in the vermicast break organic matter down into nutrient forms that plants can readily absorb.
Vermicast can be used as soil conditioner for existing plant pots and plots. It is organic and gentle on both our plants and our planet. Vermicast won’t burn seedlings or delicate foliage the way chemical fertilisers can.
How to use Vermicast in different ways:
- For new potting – Mix Vermicast with Potting Soil Mix in 1:5 ratio for rich-in-nutrients for plants and vegetables.
- Resurrect existing soil condition – Add a top mulch of vermicast to your existing soil or add it into the roots zone with soil to receive optimal results for healthy growth.
- To make your own concentrated Vermicompost Tea – Mix Vermicast with water in 1:5 ratio, add a spoon of sugar fertiliser to feed the good bacteria and leave it for 3 hours with occasional stirring to induce oxygen. Dilute it with water in 1:5 ratio and apply it directly to the soil.
