Description
[ Organic Potting Soil 40L ]
Green Spade Organic Potting Soil commonly known as compost soil or black soil is a medium that consists of organic premium compost (fine grade), organic matter, and topsoil specially mixed together.
Pre-mixed and ready to use.
Green Spade Organic Potting Soil is suitable for a wide range of plants, vegetables, and herbs. It is rich in nutrients, dense and water retentive. It can be used as a base to customise your own potting mix for all indoor and outdoor containers.
Benefits:
Green Spade Organic premium potting soil has been added with fine-grade compost for higher water retention, air movement as well as water drainage when the organic compost binds up with the soil bits.
How to Use:
- Green Spade Organic potting mix is ready to use and transfer to any pots or planter boxes.
- For plants, vegetables, and herbs that require rich in nutrients soil, you may add Vermicast to a premium potting mix with 1:5 ratios.
- For existing soil, you may add it to your existing depleted soil and for best results, you may add a top mulch of Green Spade Organic Compost or Rich Soil Enhancer every 3 to 4 weeks.
Tips:
For optimal growth, re-pot plants regularly. If your plant is not growing, or you see roots growing from the drainage holes at the bottom (of the pot), it’s time to re-pot to a larger container.    Â
Watering:
Avoid over watering by allowing the soil to dry to the touch between watering. Use a tray or saucer to catch water as it drains from the bottom. Do not allow plants to stand in water. Outdoor container plants can require frequent watering (once per day in hot, dry conditions).
Light:
Some plants thrive in direct sun exposure while others prefer shade. Check plant tag or consult your local garden center to determine preferred exposure.
Feeding:
Frequent watering can easily leach nutrients out from the root zone. Feed plants at least monthly during the growing season with an Espoma Organic Plant Food beginning two weeks after planting.

[ Rich Soil Enhancer 5L ]
Green Spade Rich Soil Enhancer is rich in humus and thus allows you to speed up the process of humus formation in your soil. It is organic in nature and the microorganisms inputs which contain high levels of humic materials will increase the microbial activity in the soil and is beneficial to the overall health of the soil and plant.
Benefits:
These microorganisms helps to build humus in soil which continues to feed plants after fertilising. The organic matters present in the mix also help to amend the quality of the soil. With continued use, this product assists in the maintenance of healthy soil biology and water retention during the process of hydro-synthesis. The high levels of active humic materials helps in carbon fixation and humus formation, reduced reliance on nutrient application which mobilises Phosphorous and promotes beneficial fungi.
Functions of microbial cultures include:
- Mobilisation of Phosphorous reserves in soil
- Capture of CO2 from the air and use of it to make sugar
- Energy storing for plants
- Foster good antibiotic which help to protect against disease
- Build water through hydro-synthesis
- Control the ability of nitrogen from the air
Application:
- Suitable for germination, soil enhancer to improve existing soil condition.
- Apply 2 to 4 inches of GS Rich Soil Enhancer to GS potting soil once every two weeks for soil enhancing.

[ Biochar 2.5L ]
Innovative microscopic biochar works wonder to give existing, worn out soil a new lease of life. It provides the necessary chemical and physical composition to correct disequilibriums, optimise plant growth and root developments. Also a multipurpose formulation from horticulture waste that can be added into fertiliser, food waste and compost piles.
For Gardens & Raised Beds
For new plantings, mix biochar into the top 4-6 inches of your garden soil. Use 25L bag for a 4 feet x 8 feet raised garden bed. For the next 5-7 days, water enough to keep the soil moist.
How Does it Work?
When biochar is mixed with organic matter such as compost, it helps to create a living soil with a diverse microbial population. Having an active microbial population in the soil benefits plants.
Soil Mix
Mix 10-20% of biochar with soil and water generously. Your grass, plants, and trees will enjoy healthier soil all season long.
Soil Conditioner
Aerate the ground first. Spread biochar over the aerated area and rake thoroughly to mix biochar into the soil. Use 1-5 Litres of biochar for every square meter. Water enough to keep the soil moist, then water as appropriate for your area.
